The project goal is correlated with the efficiency increase of the utilization of scientific and technologic potential of the partners having synergetic effect. It is proposed to obtain the excellence in thermoelectric conversion with immediate results involved in fabrication of thermoelectric mini generators. In the same time, the access to scientific research infrastructure existing in Tianjin University (for thermoelectric material deposition using LIGA photolithography) as well as training of young researchers will be carried out.

The scientific objectives are the followings:

1)       Comparative studies of results obtained by both parts in the thermoelectric films electrodeposition (P type and N type doped Bi2Te3 based films) and also the clarifying the mechanism and the correlations between the fabricating techniques and structure, compositions and performance of doped P type and N type Bi2Te3 based thermoelectric thin films.

2)       The obtained Seebeck coefficients of P-type and N-type thermoelectric thin films as electrodeposited will be 120 and 130µV/K, respectively.

3)       There is proposing a design for an optimized thermoelectric module.

4)       A mini thermoelectric generator will be fabricated and its open-circuit voltage will reach 1.8V with a configuration of 30mm long ×4mm wide ×20mm thickness at a temperature difference of ΔT= 5K at room temperature.

As secondary (but very important) objectives we propose:

5)       Identification of new partners in the field, in order to consolidate the existing partnerships;

6)       Performing a real platform of communication between research teams from different countries;

7)       Carrying out common activities for the benefit of internal research activities, in order to improve their scientific level;

8)       Existence of a complementarity of participant teams in order to improve the acces to financial support from European Comunity
